Crochet Cushion from a Twin Sheet - Free Pattern

This project originally came from wanting to make a crocheted floor poof. I thought that a twin size sheet would totally make enough fabric yarn for something that big ... Wrong! It did, however, make enough yarn to make this 12" couch pillow/cushion. See below for instructions on how to cut the sheet and the pattern for you crocheters.

Hook size Q (15.75 mm)
One twin flat sheet - I bought mine from a thrift store for $2.50
Fiberfill

To make the fabric yarn, cut the sheet in a 1" strip down one side. When you reach a corner, make a curved turn and continue down the next side 1" from the edge. Continue cutting a spiral until the whole sheet is cut.

Crochet in the round continuously (do not join rounds)
Abbreviations (US terms): sc=single crochet, st=stitch, sc2tog=single crochet two together decrease

Make a magic loop (instructions here)
Round 1: 10 sc in loop. Pull yarn end to tighten. (10)
Crochet in back loops only for remainder of pattern.
Round 2: 2 sc in each st around (20)
Round 3: *1 sc in the first st, 2 sc in the next st*. Repeat from * to * around (30)
Round 4: *1 sc in the first 2 st, 2 sc in the next st*. Repeat from * to * around (40)
Round 5: *1 sc in the first 3 st, 2 sc in the next st*. Repeat from * to * around (50)
Round 6: *1 sc in the first 4 st, 2 sc in the next st*. Repeat from * to * around (60)
Round 7: *1 sc in the first 5 st, 2 sc in the next st*. Repeat from * to * around (70)
Rounds 8-11: 1 sc in each st around (70)
Round 12: *1 sc in the first 5 st, sc2tog*. Repeat from * to * around (60)
Round 13: *1 sc in the first 4 st, sc2tog*. Repeat from * to * around (50)
Round 14: *1 sc in the first 3 st, sc2tog*. Repeat from * to * around (40)
Round 15: *1 sc in the first 2 st, sc2tog*. Repeat from * to * around (30)
Pull the yarn end from the beginning to the inside of the cushion and secure. Stuff.
Round 16: *1 sc in the first st, sc2tog*. Repeat from * to * around (20)
Round 17: Sc2tog around (10)
Cut the yarn with approx.  9" left. Tie yarn in a knot to secure, then stuff knot and tail into center hole of cushion.
